The Cheshire Cricket Board Player Pathway is a unique development structure incorporating a comprehensive coaching programme for boys and girls, which aims to develop an interest in the game and allow all players to reach their full cricketing potential.

Cheshire's Courses are led by professional ECB Level 3 coaches, with First Aid, Safeguarding Children and Enhanced DBS certificates. Sessions take place throughout the calendar year at cricket clubs and school sports halls, with talented players invited to progress along the pathway to compete for places in the Cheshire Youth Cricket representative teams.

Autumn Courses (Sept-Oct)

These 5-6 week courses take place at selected Indoor Coaching Centres across Cheshire
For boys and girls aged 7-15 years of all abilities
A combination of nets, games and group coaching based on improving player performance
Some players will be invited to attend the Advanced Level Courses

Advanced Level Courses (Nov-Jan)


These 11 and 12 week INVITE ONLY courses offer players who have already achieved a high level of performance a chance to further enhance their skills in a safe, fun and challenging environment
A combination of nets, games, Long Term Athlete Development and group coaching based on improving player performance
For boys and girls aged from under 10/11 upto 18 years
Previous Advanced Level players (and above) receive automatic invites to the course, but all 'new' players must be endorsed by a Cheshire Cricket Board Development and Coaching Officer
