Specialist sessions Players achieving representative status will be invited to attend Specialist coaching sessions led by ECB Level 3 coaches.
Sessions in batting, pace bowling, spin bowling and wicket keeping are available.
Sessions are designed to compliment the Excellence Level coaching programme, with players encouraged to add any additional coaching points to their Performance Diaries.

Junior Academy
The Cheshire Cricket Board Junior Academy brings together our most talented youngsters between the ages of 11 and 14.
Players are nominated by their county age group coaches based on performances the previous season.
The Academy acts as a feeder system for the Emerging Player Programme, although not all players are guaranteed to graduate to the next tier.
Specialist Academy training sessions will take place at Tytherington High School on Wednesday evenings from January to April.

Emerging Player Programme
The Emerging Player Programme represents the top tier of the CCB Pathway.
The EPP is designed to provide greater opportunities for young players from non-first class counties to achieve their full potential in the game.
Selections for the EPP are based on performances at county level the previous season, in consultation with each county age group coach and manager.

County Age Group Representative Team Selection and Complaints Procedure

Selection for Cheshire Youth Cricket's County Age Group Representative teams is carried out through the assessment of a varied 12-week coaching programme.
Coaches use a Performance Matrix to make observations about each player's performances in relation to some of the attributes we look for in a county cricketer.
Ultimately, selection will be down to the judgement of the individual age group Coach and Manager, with input from the other professional coaches who have been involved in the players' development.
For further clarification or to make a complaint regarding selection, please contact Cheshire Cricket Board Performance Manager Gavin Colebourn
